what is creative space?
Creative Space is the premier song camp for new creators, focusing on educating, creating, and showcasing music. It includes three days of activities: education and networking, writing and producing music, and showcasing for feedback. It’s designed for songwriters and producers to advance their careers.
What happens during creative space?
day 1
Day 1 is about educating the creatives and will consist of a PSA from our Founder J Hatch, 3 moderated, interactive panels covering various discussions within the world of music with premier industry speakers in a no VIP atmosphere. Then an attendee press play to determine creative teams for Day 2
day 2
Day 2 is all about writing, producing and referencing competitive hooks for potential sync [film & tv] and independent/major label placement opportunities. We also have special industry guests that coach the attendees on song structure, harmonies, sound quality & more in the sessions in real time.
day 3
Day 3 puts the spotlight on the songwriters & producers individually in a showcase format. All Creatives will play their music for a judge panel & get constructive feedback and highest score in both shows wins a prize package from brand partners bags and light snacks and refreshments
About the company
Jason ‘J Hatch’ Hadshian, the founder of Creative Space is a music industry veteran with over 30 years experience working with music makers in various capacities. In his career he has personally placed records with artists such as 50 Cent, Trey Songz, Soulja Boy, G Unit, Jadakiss & many more.
J Hatch has also managed and advised several Grammy winning/ Multi platinum producers and songwriters who have crafted hits for Dr. Dre, Ariana Grande, Eminem, Beyonce, Usher, Brandy, Busta Rhymes & the list goes on.
In addition other accomplishments include successful publishing deal signings, the building of several brands [iStandard, Direct 2 Exec, Faces in The Crowd & more], Project management for festivals such as SXSW, C2C Convention & A3C, and consulting various online music platforms [Jammber, Tracklib, & more] as well as the recent release of his book ‘How I made It In The Music Industry’ available on all digital retailers.
Courtney Carroll, professionally known as 2ew Gunn Ciz, Cizzurp or Cizzurp215, is an artist, songwriter, host, and music industry executive, born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. He has served in various positions with istandard, Inc. from 2006-2020 last serving as Chief Operating Officer. He has also served as the head of A&R for Dina Marto, Founder of Twelve Music, C&D | The Agency, and former General Manager of Grand Hustle.
As an artist, his music has been featured on Hiphopdx, Rapmullet.com, Allhiphop.com, 2dopeboyz, Okayplayer.com, Passion of the Weiss and more as well as on CBS Sports. As an A&R and talent scout, he has assisted in the discovery and cultivation of Platinum, Award Winning producers through the istandard platform including Black Metaphor, Cardiak, S1, ISM Beats, P’ierre Bourne, Epihk Pro and more.
He has been a speaker, moderator, and curator of various initiatives providing education and opportunity to producers, songwriters, and artists with Monster Music, G-Unit Records, ASCAP, SXSW, A3C Festival and more. His passion lies in helping creatives establish their brand and control their own destiny. He currently resides in Atlanta, Ga.
